Orthogonal transforms - DCT and Haar transforms, Digital Filter Design: Filter Structures; FIR filter design, IIR Filter Design, Introduction to multirate Signal Processing, Upsampling, Downsampling, Sample rate conversion. Mathematical preliminaries for Lossless compression, Shannon's Source Coding Theorem Huffman coding, Arithmetic Coding, LZW coding.
