Introduction, electrons, Bose-Einstein statistics, wave behaviour of photons, quantum entanglement, free electron behavior in semiconductor heterostructures, electronic energy levels in crystalline semiconductors, harmonic oscillator and quantization of electromagnetic fields, entanglement and non-locality of quantum photonics, quantum information, quantum error-correction, quantum cryptography, quantum cascade lasers, wave propagation in non-linear materials, second-harmonic generation and parametric oscillation.
