Content: 

OSI protocol architectures and Internet, Multiplexing: Time division multiplexing (TDM) and frequency division multiplexing (FDM) techniques. Local area network (LAN): sub networking protocols. Ethernet networks and wireless LAN. Medium access control protocols in wired and wireless networks medium access control function. Random and fixed medium access. Introduction to wireless networks, architectures and technologies, wireless sensor network platforms: Hardware and Software, communication architecture and protocols for WSN (MAC, Link, Routing), IOT, Future generation networks, optical networks, all varieties of wireless networks (WLAN, PAN, WBAN, etc), highspeed packet switching, queueing theory. Modelling and Simulation of WSN.
